How to use bakhour
On charcoal or an electric burner

Light the charcoal disc
Light it until it glows all over.

Place the charcoal disc on the burner
Use tongs: the disc gets hot quickly.

Wait for a layer of ash
Once a thin layer of ash covers the disc and its smoke settles, it is ready.

Place bakhour on the disc
One or two pieces are enough; add more to suit the room and the strength you like.
On an electric burner: switch it on until it heats up, then place bakhour directly on it, no charcoal needed.
Safety and storage
- Never leave a lit burner unattended.
- Keep it away from children and fabrics.
- Air the room after use.
- Keep it in its closed pack, in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.

Does bakhour need charcoal?
Use it on a charcoal disc in a traditional burner, or on an electric burner with no charcoal.
How much should I use each time?
One or two small pieces, then more to suit the size of the room and the strength you like.
What is the difference between bakhour, mabsoos, scented oud and incense cones?
All are for scenting a room with smoke; they differ in how they are used. Bakhour, mabsoos and scented oud go on charcoal or an electric burner, and the oils in mabsoos and scented oud make their smoke denser at first. Incense cones are lit at the tip and burn on their own, with no charcoal.
How long does delivery take?
